Start with the hours you will be out
Use the hourly view to compare your departure, activity and return times. Consider how a later return would change the conditions. A Clermont point forecast is an area estimate; conditions can differ along a cycling route or across a lake.
Temperature is only part of the picture
Humidity affects how heat feels. Heat index is a useful measure, but exposure to direct sun, effort and personal circumstances also matter. Plan access to water and shade, adjust exertion and follow official heat guidance. A comfortable-looking number is not a personalized safety assessment.
Check wind and official alerts
Wind direction and speed can affect cycling and outdoor gatherings. If gusts are not available in the forecast shown here, do not treat that as a prediction of no gusts. For lake activities, seek the relevant official forecast and conditions rather than using this page as a boating clearance.
Have somewhere to go when thunder starts
Before leaving, know how to reach a substantial enclosed building or a hard-topped vehicle. Outdoor shelters do not provide the same lightning protection. If you hear thunder, go inside and wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder before resuming outdoor activities.
